Alumni Escapes offers you a way to: 1) rent out your vacation home with confidence,
2) earn strong rental income, and 3) generate a gift for Dartmouth without drawing from savings or securities. Through Alumni Escapes, you’ll be marketing your vacation home to alums of Dartmouth, Tuck School of Business, Thayer School of Engineering and the Geisel School of Medicine.
When you list your property with us, you’ll pay no advertising fee. You only pay a transaction fee to Alumni Escapes after your home has been rented. Additionally, listing your property on our platform still frees you to rent your home via other agents and rental sites. List your property today and Go Green with Alumni Escapes.
How Payments Work
No-Fuss Transactions: Alumni Escapes manages the payment transactions, so you don’t have to collect from fellow Dartmouth alums.
Rental Process: Renters pay us and then we pay you, keeping the transaction secure and professional.
Transaction Fees: Alumni Escapes charges our homeowners a modest 10% transaction fee and rental guests a 5% service fee.
Donation To Dartmouth: We ask that you make a minimum gift of 10%. See Donation page for details.
To Market Your Property, We’ll Need The Following
Amenities: Create a list of amenities including number of bedrooms, bathrooms, number of people who can sleep there. Plus, a description of major appliances, amenities such as pools and hot tubs, views, and proximity to attractions—the beach, town, mountain trails and so on.
Photography: We will need high quality photos of the exterior and interior of your home as well as views outside your window that capture the charm of your home— such as views of the surf, golf course or cityscape.
Rental Weeks: How many weeks are you interested in renting? Do you plan to rent during peak seasons or during the off season?
User Guide: This would include all rules and requests you have for people staying in your home. It would also include instructions for using various things in your home.
Select Price: Decide on your nightly/weekly rate, any extra costs and whether or not the price will change with the season.
